photo challenge: texas summer

it's hard to capture in photos the summertime here because a lot of it is about the feel of the weather closing down on you and about the smells that come with it. so, i tried. i wanted to get more, but didn't get the opportunity. i'll probably post more to the set and challenge as the summer progresses.

but weather going from 102 degrees and sunny to this in a matter of minutes is pretty awesome (there were a couple where i tried to get the sheer force of the drops, but it didn't work):



and then you see this 8 minutes later:



and to get caught walking in it is the BEST PART. this is rain you don't mind getting dumped on you. this is rain that inspires you to dance in it because it's SO REFRESHING.
